Uniform
School Uniform
The school official colours are navy blue and grey. The navy blue sweatshirt and navy blue cardigan embroidered with the school's logo can be purchased from Skoolkit.
Skirts and trousers are grey. A plain white shirt or polo shirt may be worn under the school sweatshirt. Socks/tights should be moderate colours (e.g black, grey or white) and shoes must be sturdy and appropriate for outdoor play. A light blue and white checked dress or grey shorts may also be worn.
Skoolkit can be found at 15 Church Street, Basingstoke, RG21 7QG.
Clothing should be chosen so that
- Children can easily dress themselves
- It is easy to launder
- It is suitable for the weather
Please make sure all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.
Second Hand Uniform
Second hand uniform can be purchased for a donation via the Castle Hill Friends web page:
https://www.pta-events.co.uk/chf-castlehillfriends/
Alternatively, the Castle Hill Friends hold a monthly sale, please see the school newsletter for dates.
P.E. Clothing
Children do indoor P.E. in blue shorts, house T-shirt and bare feet.
Children across all three years at the school are put into 1 of 4 houses, (which will be allocated once your child starts school) - Windsor, Hever, Portchester or Arundel. Each house is represented by a colour, either red, green yellow or blue. A child's house T-shirt will also be one of these four colours. These can be purchased from the school.
Shorts, house T-shirt and plimsolls/trainers are required for outside activities, for the winter months navy tracksuit bottoms and a navy jumper are also required. All P.E. clothing should be clearly marked with your child’s name and kept in a drawstring bag (Sorry, we cannot allow backpacks, as there is no space for them on pegs).
Please keep P.E. kit in school at all times. Although the hall may be timetabled for P.E., the school grounds are not, and so P.E. can take place on any day of the week.
Jewellery
No jewellery, including earrings, should be worn in school for Health & Safety reasons. The school follows County Policy that no earrings may be worn during P.E. sessions.
